A route to the flooded forest in the Strymonas delta, where birds can be seen at their nests. About 90 minutes.

Boat Trips
Aboard the lake's traditional plava boats — close to the birds, the flooded forest and the waters of the Strymonas.
The experience
A trip aboard the Oikoperiigitis boats is a chance to enjoy Lake Kerkini while learning about the area's wildlife, plants and history.
The plava boats are much larger than fishing boats and are built entirely of wood using traditional techniques. They run on a low‑noise outboard engine and have a canopy for summer sun and autumn or winter rain.
The boats serve groups and individual visitors daily, every day of the week, in every season (according to Oikoperiigitis — please confirm availability with your request).
